ABOUT THE BOOK: When something terrible happens, Taylor doesn’t know where to turn. All the animals are sure they have the answer. The chicken wants to talk it out, but Taylor doesn’t feel like chatting. The bear thinks Taylor should get angry, but that’s not quite right either. Enjoy your Saturday morning with a reading of the children’s book Miss Maple's Seeds, by Eliza Wheeler.  After we read together, we'll do an carton plant starter activity.

ABOUT THE BOOK:  What happens to seeds that don’t sprout? Fortunately, they have Miss Maple to look after them. Every year, she rescues orphan seeds, taking them to her cozy maple tree house. All winter long, she nurtures them and teaches them the ways of seeds and the paths by which they might find their new homes. And come spring, she sends them off to take root out in the wide world and to sprout into the wonderful plants she knows they’ll become.

Stop by for a book signing and to meet the author!

ABOUT THE BOOK:  Welcome to essayist Kimberly Harrington’s poetic, hysterically funny (and occasionally just hysterical) world of motherhood, womanhood, and humanhood, not necessarily in that order. It’s a place of loud parenting, fierce loving, too much ice cream, too much social media, and occasional inner monologues in which light is shed on topics such as Pro/Con: Caving to PTO Bake Sale Pressure (“PRO: Skim the crappiest brownies for myself. CON: They’re really crappy.”) With accessibility and wit, she captures the emotions around...
