Kate Baer is one of my favorite poets alive today. Her work is always beautiful and empowering and this collection fits right in. The contrast between Baer’s unsolicited messages and her clipped blackout poetry is stark and masterfully clever. A succinct exercise in perspective taking and carving your truth from the words of others.
