Join Larry Sudbay for a reading and Q&A featuring his book, The Best is Yet To Be. Special guest Dr. Melanie Bui (Assistant Professor, Dermatology Division, Department of Medicine at UVM) will highlight the work being done on melanoma research at UVM/UVMMC. A portion of the proceeds from sales of this book will benefit melanoma research in the UVM Medical Center’s Department of Dermatology.
“So many of us come into this world and receive our care through The UVM Medical Center or even attend the university," says Sudbay. "With the huge impact UVM has on our lives, I think it's important work they are doing to improve our lives—it is something to applaud and support.”
He adds, “There is no favoritism when it comes to melanoma. While we can be educated, accidents happen. Knowing you have a quality medical center there doing research and improvements for Vermont. I can't thank UVM Medical Center enough for my life and for caring for my whole family.”
ABOUT THE BOOK: The Best Is Yet To Be is a unique collection of inspiring stories, some found and some authored, by entrepreneur Larry Sudbay. Originally shared over many years in a corporate newsletter, these tales cross the line from the business realm to a place of personal reflection. Illustrated by Steven Kellogg, the book is also a memoir of sorts for Sudbay. Kellogg and Sudbay worked together to envision the group of paintings that tell the tale of Sudbay's life, highlighting certain periods that were particularly transformative. Readers will learn that Sudbay loves family, hard work, good ideas, and fair play. They will see that his lessons in life revolve around zest, resiliency, and his belief that the best is yet to be. A portion of proceeds from book sales will go to University of Vermont Medical Center Department of Dermatology for Melanoma Cancer Research.
