Thank you for your outpouring of support during these unprecedented and extraordinary times. Your messages mean the world to us.
This past week, Governor Scott issued an executive order for Vermonters to stay home. As allowed for in the order, Phoenix is open for business online, by phone, and by email with delivery and pick up options. We are keeping the health and safety of customers and staff our number one priority by using thorough cleaning protocols and following physical distancing recommendations.
These necessary changes have been especially difficult for our dedicated booksellers who are like family to us. Now, more than ever, we are grateful for all they have done and continue to do for Phoenix Books and our customers. To lessen the financial impact of lost hours, we are offering additional paid time off to all staff for the weeks ahead.
While we continue to be closed to the public, booksellers in Burlington and Essex are available from 10am-5pm daily to find and recommend books, games, and gifts for you by phone or by email. Or shop online--our website is always open.
To place an order with our Rutland store, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a message at 802.855.8078. A bookseller will be available for phone assistance from 10am-4pm daily, starting April 4th.
This pandemic has had a profound impact on our communities and booksellers. We know that we will be able to get through this by working together. Please know that we are here for you. Thanks to all of you again for your support.
With deep gratitude,
Michael DeSanto & Renée Reiner, owners, Phoenix Books Essex, Burlington, and Rutland
Tricia Huebner, co-owner, Phoenix Books Rutland
