George Osol: Caveat *Onion River Press Book Launch*
Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 7:00pm
Join Phoenix Books Burlington in celebrating the launch of Caveat, an exciting new action thriller by local author and UVM School of Medicine professor George Osol. Caveat is the first title to be released by Onion River Press, the new self-publishing program out of Phoenix Books, geared toward giving local authors a voice.
About Caveat: The night before cyber-security expert Michael Boylen leaves home for a month, his wife of almost 20 years informs him that she is no longer in love with him. Emotionally blindsided, he begins his trip to France and meets a woman on the plane who draws him into a world where nothing is quite what it appears to be. Set in the heart of Paris during the holiday season, this romantic thriller explores the crossroads of love vs. lust, trust vs. deceit, and circumstance vs. fate. The ending will leave you thinking about the blind spots in your own perceptions, and the illusion of normalcy that belies the everyday reality of our complex and unpredictable world.
George Osol lives in Williston, Vermont. He is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine specializing in vascular physiology, particularly hypertensive diseases of pregnancy. Caveat is his first novel. A book of short stories is forthcoming.
